I began training at Southern Oregon Progressive Fighting Systems 5 years ago. Having no previous martial arts experience, I was nervous and didn't know what to expect. Walking through the door on that first day was the hardest part, but Sifu John Doty welcomed me with open arms and every one of his students has helped me grow as a martial artist and as a person.

Sifu Brian Sullivan and Sifu Michael Sotos exemplify the teachings of Sifu John Doty and have continued his legacy in Southern Oregon by providing world-class training in a friendly and exciting environment. There are no egos at SOPFS and there are no molds that students need to fit into. Everyone is treated equally, given the same attention from instructors, and each student is provided with the freedom to find their own JKD.
